Can I add existing epics to the product backlog?

My team was initially creating and handling backlog in Excel spreadsheets. We now plan to move to JIRA. I have just seen videos where I can only create new Epics and create new stories and add them to my backlog. But is there a way to link my existing stories and epics to the backlog in JIRA

Hi @Neha D'silva ,

 

If you have your backlog in Excel now, you can import it directly into Jira.

From your project, navigate to Issues and you have the option to import from csv:

Yes. you can link existing stories to the epic.

 

Edit > Epic Link > Click the drop down and select the Epic Link that matches what you want
