Auto populate several custom fields based on another custom field (list box)

We have a custom field called "workplace number" where a user can insert the number of a specific workplace when creating a ticket for maintenance.

To identify which machine/workplace is meant by this number it would be useful to automatically populate other several fields (name, serial number) after input of workplace number.

We do have a list in excel of all the workplace number and associated names and serial numbers.

Is it possible to use this table as a template for any function in Jira?

"If the workplace number XX is put in, you have to set YY and ZZ as name and serial number".

Thanks in advance!

Bastian
