How to transfer attachments from subtasks to the parent task. They told me how to change the fields in the parent subtask at all, but if I choose to change the attachment field, then there is no subtask option

Thanks for reaching out, unfortunately, it is not currently possible to copy attachments using automation for Jira on the Cloud platform and would require manual action or looking into an alternate add-on app.

As a stop-gap measure, you could look into ScriptRunner as an alternative and there is a good discussion with an example code snippet in the following thread as a great starting point:
