Hello,
I am new to Jira and trying to follow a "getting started" doc I found (privately) and it mentions creating a new project with sample data. I am not seeing the options described there. I created a project anyway but there's no sample data options that I can find. Is this feature available?
"Click on Create sample project. This is an optional project that you can create. It has more realistic sample data than the projects that you will create from scratch in this course."
Thank you. This was exactly what I was searching for.
Riya you should consider teaching lol. Worked like magic
Riya,
I have the same problem.
https://chucollin123.atlassian.net/secure/BrowseProjects.jspa <--- am I in the cloud version or server edition? I see no where where I can go to board setting to get to your screenshot.
This looks promising but alas I cannot find any "Board Settings." I think probably the same issue as described here:
I will try again this weekend and start over as mentioned in that thread.
Finally found it--whew--felt like a trial by fire. The answer is here:
Although the answer is written already. But I have written a step by step article on generating the sample project data in Jira Cloud instance.

I hope this will be useful for somebody.
Thanks @Dheeraj Kumar Aggarwal This is very helpful !
Hi guys,
On the top bar, click on Your work - View all boards - Create a board - Create a Scrum/Kanban board with sample data.
Hope it helps :)
This no longer works it is a different view... is there another way to do it?
