how to add attachment to jira notification

I found this document about customizing email content but it doesn't describe attachment:

You'd have to change the code... you could use this function from the script runner plugin, or just extract the code from it.

It can be configured as a listener, in which case it would fire for the attach files option... Not quite sure what event it would be, probably "issue updated".

Hi Jamie, JW23,

We are also interested in sending attachments in email notifications - for example when some files are attached via "Attach files"/"Attach screenshots" we would like them to be also attached to the email notification on this event. Is it possible?

We checked the link provided by Jamie, but it seems to send notification as a post-function for some workflow step, not for "Attach files"/"Attach screenshots"..
