"Insert account id" doesn't appear to work

Is anybody successful using the Insert account ids option in the Lookup Issue action or JQL conditions?

I'm not finding documentation of that feature in the Automation documents. I found it mentioned in another document HERE, but the feature doesn't find any users when I try to use it.

I've tried partial names, full names (case sensitive), and email addresses. No matches are found for anything.

Its a weird bug that i also run into frequently.  Enter the user's First and Last Name, or email, or user name then hit enter on your keyboard, the name should appear and the blue insert button should also appear.

If you have multiple users with the same names in the company, best to use their email.

That is very annoying and contrary to how most, if not all, the selection lists operate elsewhere in the product; when you start typing the entry the possible matches are immediately displayed.

After hitting Enter, you can't clear the field or click in it again to do a different search. You have to close the pop up and reopen it.

And if you have multiple account with the same Full Name (as I do in my test environment) it just picks one. It is unclear what the algorithm is for what it is selecting.

I'm going to open a support case with Atlassian to find out if there are already documented issues about this.
