Send email with link to the lookupIssues search

Edited

Hi all,

I'm trying to create an automation which sends out an email on a weekly basis containing a list of issues.

So far, I've configured the email to produce the list of issues and a hyperlink to each one, using the {{#lookupIssues}} keyword (figures 1 & 2). This is fine, but what I would love to do is produce a single hyperlink to the JQL search itself (as per figure 3) so that the recipient can see all the issues in one place, avoiding the need for them to have to click each link individually. Is this possible does anyone know?

I'd be most grateful for any help and guidance on this.

Thanks,

Guy

Hi @Guy Banister , welcome to the community and thanks for your question.

Would a filter subscription not work for this use case?

If you have already written the JQL filter, you can define a filter subscription to be sent out automatically, using the schedule tool, which has in the email body the list of issues that are returned by the query -

Where the resulting email would have hyperlinks to the issues.

I hope this helps but if not, please give us your feedback and either I or someone else will try to help. Cheers.

Hi @Valerie Knapp

That looks like the perfect solution to what I want to do! I didn't know about Filter Subscriptions but I just tried it and it seems to do exactly what I want!

Thanks so much for your help!
