Remember my login on this computer does not work

We have an issue in our JIRA Server (v8.20.1) with the "Remember my login" functionality. No credentials are saved for any user using any browser, despite enabling cookies and even after a full clearance of cookies and cache as described here (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Atlassian-Access-questions/Remember-Me-doesn-t-remember-us/qaq-p/419338).

Is there any other way to enable this functionality? We have had lots of user complaints that they have to provide their credentials every single time they access the tool. The same is valid for our Confluence instance linked.

Please try to update your Google chrome browser, then clear history and try again.
