How to set specific card layouts based on issue types?

Here's the setup: i have around 6 issue types, but each issue type has around 4-5 sub issue types, and the way i've set this up is, for each issue the user can select it from a select box, but each issue has it's own custom field, meaning i have 6 sub issue custom fields, and on the cards I need the selected option to be shown for each issue. I'm using Jira server, and it only lets me add three custom fields for cards layouts, is there a addon or a native way to do this?

I can't use one custom field for all the sub issues, because sub issue type from issue "A" cannot be shown to issue "B", I tried using scripted custom fields addon, but couldn't get it to work.

Hi Wilson,

There was a similar question asked in the forum before:

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Can-I-customize-card-layout-for-each-issue-type-on-Kanban-board/qaq-p/625260

It seems like this is not possible...
