I'm looking for a way to automatically "ping" someone via email if they have a ticket assigned to them for X period of time with no updates.
We've found that tickets spend almost the same amount of time in Development as they do in Testing, and most tickets shouldn't require that much testing. That said, this leads us to believe tickets are sitting idle in the hands of a tester without being touched for quite some time, hence why I'm here asking about this.
Any options? Seems like pretty basic functionality, and I'm fairly surprised that this isn't a feature within JIRA. I'm hoping I'm just missing something, but if not, any good feedback would be great.
Thanks in advance.
@Kyle TeevanWe have Filter subscription, just create a filter assignee = currentUser()
save it, go to ->Edit above the filter. there you can chose recipient, then subscribe.
best!
Well, that doesn't seem to offer the ability to notify an assignee after a set period of days. What we're looking for is pretty specific, and it just doesn't seem like there's an easy way to do it.

@Kyle TeevanIt will absolutely you have to choose (schedule, interval) enter these field and finally click subscribe. if you want(each user) to get notification, then each user will have to subscribe by just creating filter assignee = currentUser() , and then choose personal option. if you want group to get notification the choose groups (and include all users in the team to this group).
