Can I addd another quick filters section to the board?

Hello, 

 

We use Kanban board and created a bunch of quick filters in the application.

There is one common drop-down for all quick filters, but we would like to have 2 or 3 dropdowns for convenience. See the following screenshot for the details - https://cl.ly/412X0I1G1y0I 

Is it doable in Jira? I wish to have an option, an even numeric marker that tells the app where the quick filter goes, to which dropdown.

@somethingblue thanks for the reply. You say that there is a way to add more options, how I can do that?

Hi George,

Take a look at Configuring Quick Filters:

(info)Any additional Quick Filters that you create they will appear as buttons next to the 'Only My Issues' and 'Recently Updated' buttons on the board (see Using a Board).
(info) Note that only the administrator of a board (or a person with the 'JIRA Administrators' global permission) can configure a board's Quick Filters.

Editing Quick Filters

To edit a board's Quick Filters:

  1. Navigate to the desired board, then click Board > Configure.
  2. Click the Quick Filters tab.
  3. Edit the Quick Filters

While the above does state 'Any additional Quick Filters that you create they will appear as buttons next to the 'Only My Issues' and 'Recently Updated' buttons on the board' I have found the Cloud behavior is different in that it puts newly created filters under the main Quick Filters category as pictured below with the filter I created called Before Today:

@somethingblue yes, you're right, all the filters I add to the board appear under the Quick filter's group but not as standalone buttons. That's why I raised that question. I assume the new UI doesn't allow making buttons like it was in the old UI.

Hi George,

You can add more options but it won't group them.  In light of this I created JRASERVER-66708: Provide the ability to add another quick filters section to the board.

Please vote on the issue to add impact and you'll automatically be notified of any updates to the ticket.
