Hi team,
I am trying to create a Plan for my Jira project. I followed the process and set up the plan to show the Epics, Story, Tasks and Sub-tasks I had on my project board.

I want to fine-tune the hierarchy so that the epics can be mapped to the initiatives and objectives. Currently if I try and create a new issue from the +Create button in the advanced roadmap (plan) , the option for selecting objective and initiative is grayed out.
How do I select them as my issue types?

Hi Ankit,

Initiatives and Objectives are issue types themselves, not types of issue types. So, you only need to create the issue type one time. Then go to Settings > Issues > Issue Type Hierarchy to set the order of your hierarchy. Note that it will seem counter to what you are thinking in that Epic will be level 1, Initiative will be level 2, etc.
