Can I create my own personal board and it will not affect the original board?

This is a simple question and I'm pretty sure I know the answer but before I completely wreak havoc on a large companies Jira software, I thought I would ask here. So, can I create my own personal board based on an existing board? This includes setting up my own columns, I assume using the existing flow on the original board and creating my own swim lanes. 

I can do that, right?

Hi @Trina Peck yes you most certainly can.  Boards are simply a graphical representation of the data (jira issues).

Yes, you can create your personal board, but do note that changing the rank or status of an issue will also impact other boards that include the issue.

You can configure your personal board how you wish with own columns, swimlanes, quick filters etc.
