Bulk link sub tasks

Hello all, I am trying to bulk change all of my sub tasks to link them to tasks but am having difficulty. My tasks and epics are already all inputted into Jira and linked. However I would like to now add sub tasks (using the bulk edit function?) or any other solution.

Hi Trevor - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The bulk change function is for just that - changes. You can't create new issues with the bulk change function. 

You can create by importing a CSV file with your issues including a column which identifies the key for the parent that already exists in Jira. 

Or you could build an automation rule that will create issues for you.

Hey john thanks for the response. I have the sub tasks created already but there are around 1,000 of them so manually linking to their parent will take too long. Is there any way to link automatically through the upload or bulk change? Without using the ID? I tried using the parent tasks name as the ID but it did not work. Finding each tasks key and then making that the parent id will take very long as well.
