Releasing a version hides issues that are in the backlog

Panos Rigopoulos June 25, 2021

Issues that are part of a released version but have status of "Backlog" do not show up in the backlog anymore. Is there any way to not have released versions hide issues that are not "Done"?

Hi @Panos Rigopoulos

What type of project are you using: company-managed or team-managed?  And are you using a Kanban or Scrum board?

I wonder if your filter is hiding issues associated to a released version.  If so, you may need to adjust your filter to account for this edge case of incomplete issues in a released version.  But first...

Why are there backlog items in a released version?  If they are not yet started, they are not part of the release to production, and so probably should be have that version information changed.

Best regards,

Bill

It was the kanban subfilter. Found it and fixed it.

They had a version associated with them for grouping but then they didn't make the release and got deprioritized. Due to a manual error, the ticket was not updated to remove the version, and then they got hidden.
