Can you add sub task to a sprint without its parent story; I am using New Gen Jira project

Can anyone advise, if we can bring the child tasks into sprint planning without its parent story; we have got the Jira New Gen project set up.

Please can you advise.

This isn't possible I'm afraid - nor is it possible in classic scrum boards either.

Sprints can contain standard-level issue types - those at story-level. A story added to a sprint includes all its sub-tasks.

If you think you want to move a sub-task outside its parent so you can put it into a different sprint, then it isn't really a sub-task of the parent and should be converted to a story (with a link back to the previous parent probably)
