What a Year of Forge Workshops With Data Center Teams Taught Me About Where They Actually Struggle
I spend a good part of my year in rooms with experienced enterprise developers taking their first steps on Forge, usually with a Data Center deadline somewhere behind them. Full transparency: running these workshops is part of my job at Seibert. This post is not about the workshops though. It is about the pattern I did not…

Atlassian have made two major changes that affect Jira labels. A gradual rollout of colored labels (where colors are assigned randomly) A UI refresh that alters how all labels look (native and Marketplace app labels) Let’s unpack these developments, how they affect users, and how you can circumvent the UI changes. From…

An Explorer's Log: Taking a Rovo Studio App All the Way to Production
An Explorer's Log: Taking a Rovo Studio App All the Way to Production I had heard the pitch: Rovo Studio's App Builder turns a prompt into a real Forge app, no terminal required. As someone who has written plenty of Forge by hand, I was equal parts curious and skeptical. So I did the only honest thing and went exploring.…

Stop doing mental math in Jira. 🧠📉
How many times have you stared at a Jira ticket, looked at an 'Impact' score and a 'Probability' score, and had to mentally multiply them to figure out if you should panic? The wait is finally over: Native Formula Custom Fields have arrived in Jira Cloud (New Feature: Formula Custom Fields in Jira Cloud! ). For many teams,…

How I used a Rovo Agent and Automation to format phone numbers for the ACF Validated Phone field
The scenario We manage customer data in Jira Service Management. Phone numbers come in through portal forms as free-text: customers type whatever format they are used to. Some examples from a single week: 0171 1234567 +49 (0)30 / 123 456 0049-171-9876543 (030) 123456 00 44 20 7946 0958 We use the Validated Phone field…

Missing built-in Rovo agents
Hi there, we recently started a Rovo trial, but keep missing the built-in bots. We also use an app which provides a Rovo agent. Both of them are not showing up when I browse agents. I've created on myself via UI and this agent shows up. Did I miss some setting or does it take some time after the subscription? Cheers, paul

🎃👻 Who you gonna call? BSM Busters! 🍻🍂
The Haunted Backlog 👻 We’ve all seen it: an ITSM portal that feels more like a haunted house than a help desk. Endless input fields where no one knows what to insert. Labels like “incident,” “Incident??,” “incdnt” haunting your backlog. Priorities that are unclear, so every request feels urgent… or ignored. This is what…

🚀 Rovo Dev Agent and the Forge Quest
I know I’m a bit late to the party — but I finally finished the first Forge Quest. Since I’ve been working with Forge for quite a while, I set myself a special challenge:👉 Don’t write any code myself. Instead, I let the Rovo Dev Agent in the Atlassian CLI do all the heavy lifting. Why share this here? You might think: “But…
