Does someone have an explanation for how and why a description from a trello card dissapears and reverts back to the original template? I went into my Trello card to copy some information, but ended up not copying it, so I clicked out of it. Later, when I went back to look at the card, all of the information that I had filled out on the card was gone, and it reverted back to the original template before it was filled. I'm curious as to why this happens and how to prevent it. If anyone knows, please let me know because it is setting my team back on work.
I think what you describe could be related to 2 people editing the description at the same time.
This post is from some time back and highlights the issue:
Just as a quick explanation as to how the description editor works.
When you click into the editor and start typing, the description only gets updated if:
A) You click out of the description box within the card or save. This saves the description.
B) You navigate away from the card e.g. going to another website. This will save a draft and next time you open the card, it will look like this:
If B, you will be able to reopen the card and click into the editor again and your draft will be there still.
If for example, someone makes a change to a description while you are still typing your update. When you click save, the other members change will be overwritten...
Hi Mike! I'm a part of Nafia's team and I've managed to rule out two people working on it at once. The most recent instance we had of this:
1. One user made changes one day.
2. The next day, a different user opened the card, saw the changes from the first user and added some of their own.
3. A couple hours later, the card reverted back to before the first user’s changes were made.
It's pretty strange to me and doesn't seem to fit the criteria for two people working on it at once or a connection issue based on the timing and how far it reverts back.
