Dear Support Team,
On August 18, 2026, I downloaded the Trello application and created an account to log in and use the application.
After trying the application, I found that it does not meet my current needs. Therefore, I would like to delete my Trello account. However, I am unable to delete the account and received the following notification:
Could you please assist me in deleting my account from the Trello system and advise me if any additional steps are required from my side?
Thank you very much for your support.
Best regards,
*small note - I know this works for apps like Jira, Confluence, JSM, etc. and I do believe same/similar thing would apply to Trello
Hi @Nguyễn Hoàng Thanh Nguyên ,
Yeah... this can be a little unintuitive. 👀
If Atlassian is preventing you from deleting your Trello/Atlassian account because you are currently the billing admin / primary billing or technical contact, you’ll first need to remove or transfer that responsibility.
If you want to keep the existing site/subscription, you can:
Go to admin.atlassian.com/billing and open Billing permissions.
Add another billing admin.
Once they have access, have them remove your billing admin access.
You should then be able to proceed with deleting your Atlassian account.
If you no longer need the associated site/subscription at all, you can instead cancel/remove it and then try deleting your account again.
More details can be found here: Deleting your Atlassian Account when you are the Billing or Technical Contact
If you’re still unable to remove the billing responsibility through self-service, I’d recommend contacting Atlassian Support: Pricing, Billing & Licensing so they can help unblock the account deletion.
Cheers,
Tobi
