Is 'watch' the same as 'follow'?

I have given an instruction to a new Trello user to click on the three-dot icon at the top of a specific column and to choose 'watch' from the drop-down list in order that she automatically get notified when a card is dropped into that column. She responded to me indicating that there's no such option available to her! When I got her to send me a screenshot, I can see she's correct - but that option, in her situation, has been replaced in the list by 'follow.'

Are these one and the same thing? If so, I'm presuming it's new (i.e. a change in the UI) and there's nowhere in the Trello docs that indicates this.

I believe it's the same thing, but anyway, can you add a print screen to this option?
