How to undo the option for selecting all boards with the little dots?

I don't know how this happened but I think one of my employees inadvertently tried to highlight something and now all of the cards and all of the boards and labels are able to be selected. Is this some sort of update that Trello rolled out? Whatever it is I cannot figure out how to undo it. Somebody please help?
