Hello
Is it possible to view the subtasks (checklist items) of a card in a Gantt chart?
We wanted to subscribe to Trello paid version to use the Gantt chart, but it doesn't seem to accommodate this option?
PS: The Adds-on tools to trello wouldn't suit us as their UI isn't great.

It seems to me that the timeline on trello isn't really a Gantt chart.

Thanks,
Barbara

Hi @Barbara Santangelo

Unfortunately, Trello is moving away from such project related features and positioning itself as a personal productivity tool. So I don't recommend using those tools.

Timeline view in Trello was never designed to be a Gantt chart. The best option for Gantt in Trello is to use Placker, IMO the best PM tool for Trello.

Atlassian would love for you to shift to Jira for this and you will certainly find that it's timeline view is better than Trello's

You can get Checklist items to show up in a convoluted way by converting them to linked cards in a parent child kind of set up. See this article:

Hi Mike.

indeed I agree with you and we were considering Jira, but it won't be adopted by the rest of the team we have, unfortunately
I'll do some researches re: your suggestions. Thank you :)

Personally, I disagree with Atlassian that Jira is the solution to those who are disgruntled with Trello.  I don't think Jira is a good fit for the majority of Trello business users but for sure it can help some.

Can I ask why Jira it wouldn't be adopted by the rest of the team. There is a possible solution where Jira is used for those who require the business/project features but have Trello as the tool that users utilise day to day.  It is worth checking out Jira lists in Trello
