How can I see how many open tasks an employee has in Trello?

I'm trying to find an easy way to see how many open tasks my employees have in Trello. We are using the Checklist feature to assign tasks and due dates. Additionally, I would love to see a list of those open tasks by the date due, being able to delineate between those that are past due and those that are upcoming.

Unfortunately, it isn't so easy to see how many checklist items are assigned to a user.  There are mechanisms to see how many Trello cards assigned to users. 

One thing you could do is convert the checklist items to cards to allow that additional capability...

Thank you for the suggestion. Do you know if there is an enhancement request to be able to see this? It seems like it would be a useful management report or view for managers to use with their employees or for project managers to use with project teams.
