Hi,
I just created a new board in the same workspace as my older boards but the Custom Fields option is not available anymore. I can't seem to enable it on the new board, I can't select the Custom Fields option in the Power-Ups section
In the past this was enabled by default when the new board was created and when I copied item to the new board, the exiting custom fields were maintained. Now the custom fields which exist and are visible on the old board, are not visible anymore on the cards which I copied to the new board.
Any ideas on a possible root cause and solution ?
Thanks !
Hi Phil, custom fields are only available on the paid plans (since about 3 years ago). If you are on a paid plan (Standard, Premium or Enterprise) and are still not able to use them, please contact our support team and someone will troubleshoot it for you https://trello.com/contact#/
Hi Gaurav,
We have a premium plan, which is why we could use Custom Fields on the other boards.
Custom Fields became available again however after I cleaned up some of the older and obsolete boards. I assume there is some limitation on the max number of boards or similar somewhere.

Hello Richard,
I did not found a root cause, but as I mentioned in my earlier reply, when I deleted some of the older boards the custom fields option became available again.
In the past we created a new board for every sprint and we copied the active cards to the new board but also kept the old board, which is why we had a big number of boards.
My assumption is that we ran into some kind of maximum number of custom fields limitation which was resolved after deleting a number of boards and the related custom fields.
We now use only one board with custom fields and since then we did not see this issue popping up again.
Hope this helps ?
Cheers,
Phil
