Create Single Task With Multiple Reminder

Sergio del Álamo García December 26, 2023

Hello, I would like to know the way to create a single task with reminder me every day at the same time, for example:

Name task: Make an report

Period: from 5th January to 14th January

Reminder: every day at 6:00pm during this period

How can I do that? I have been researching throught Power-Ups and Automation sections but I didn't solve it, I have only found the option to add a notice prior to the expiration date.

Thanks you!

Hi @Sergio del Álamo García! If I understood you correctly, you want to create a card (task) on your Trello board and add a reminder to the Due Dates of your cards. Is that correct? Or did I misunderstand you? I want to be sure I'm on the same page before giving you a proper answer to your question. Thanks!

Hello @Sal

Thanks for answering, I would like to create a single card with reminder me once every day at specific hour only during this range of days which I I have previously mentioned.

Thanks you!

Gotcha! So, there are two ways you can do this, Sergio:

  1. You can use Scheduled automationscreate an Automation command, and every day copy the same card to a "To Do" list, and then you could have another Automation command that sends you an email notification when a card is copied to the "To Do" list. This is one of the ways I thought if you want to use Automation.

You could start using an Automation command like this one:
every day, find card "Create report" and copy it in list "To Do"
  2. The second option would be using our Power-Up Card Repeater. This is mainly used for users who repeatedly need to complete the same tasks every day, week, or month.

Both methods will achieve the same goal, and you can even mix the usage of the card repeater with Automation commands, but this will depend on your needs. I hope this information helps!

Hello @Sal

The second option fits my needs better, the only problem that I have found it's that I can't leave it scheduled for a specific week, for example, if I want to repeat a task for the 4th week of January, I cannot leave it done right now since it would be repeated until then, I would have to do it that week, It doesn't allow me to select a specific range of days of the month.

Is there any way to correct this?

Thanks you so much!

You're right, @Sergio del Álamo García. The Card Repeater Power-Up doesn't allow you to repeat cards on the second or third week of the month. Instead, depending on your use case, you'll need to specify which day you want them to be repeated every week, month, or year. Still, I'll pass your feedback and interest to the team about having additional options for weekly repeats for the Card Repeater Power-Up.

Alternatively, you could explore third-party Automation services like Zapier and see if they can always copy your card (repeat it) every second week of the month. You can learn more about Zapier at this link: https://zapier.com/

I hope that helps!
