I've been having problems with the repeat card power. When I try to remove it from a card, after I click remove it just turns grey and doesn't removed the power up from the card. Seems like others have had this problem but I can't seem to find a solution...
Hi @Tom Dalling, I had the same issue and, maybe (just maybe), I managed to get rid of it.
I noticed in my developer tools that whenever I wanted to add a repeat date on a card, the click on the Submit button ended with a 401 code, which means an unauthorized request. Submit and cancel buttons were then both greyed out, as you stated.
I thought I would give you a thumbs up here, following this message you posted. To do so, I had to log in on atlassian.com... and a few seconds ago, while testing this again, I was able to add / remove repeat dates from Trello cards again.
From what I saw, it looks like being logged into atlassian.com allows me to add / remove repeat dates on cards, while I could not while logged out. I logged out / logged back in once more, and it looks like this works this way.
Maybe you could give it a go?
EDIT: i realized i completely misread the question, and the issue comes from trying to remove a repeat on a card that has a repeat.
we identified an issue with card repeater involving token checks and pushed out a fix sometime last week. @Elie Théocari 's comment of logging out avoids the token situation, so is also a good workaround. either way, you should not be facing this issue in the future!
we also recommend that users take a look at our automation tooling when card repeater is not working as intended -- this tooling is generally more robust and provides a more dependable experience.
thanks for your understanding!
to be clear, are you trying to remove the button from a card back, or are you trying to remove the repeat from the card?
my understanding based on your post is you don't like the 'card repeater' button on the card back, and are trying to remove it. however, this button will always be present on a card if the power-up is enabled on a board, and there is no way to remove/hide it if you keep the power-up enabled.
this does not mean that the card is repeating, it's just how you access the card repeater power-up.
please correct me if i'm misunderstanding you!

Thank you Adriana! Yes it seems to be working again correctly now. But yes in the mean time I have decided to use the 'scheduled' automations tools in combination with labels and it seems to be doing what I need it to do!
