Hi there, yesterday I could post comments on all my boards. Today I cannot post any comments on my main board -- though I seem to be able to on the others. Comments are enabled, I am a member (admin actually). I tried refreshing, deleting cache & cookies, rebooting the computer. I tried private browsing. I tried downloading the Windows app (instead of running in Firefox). Same problem.
Thank you for your help!

I am noticing now that even though I can comment on this board with my phone, my phone is completely failing to sync. Everything is stuck in the sync queue. I tried closing and re-opening, even re-installing, and the same problem is happening for me with the mobile app. On all boards, actually, not just my main board.
What you mean by comments are enabled?
Even if comments appear enabled, the board’s commenting permissions can be set in a way that stops you from posting..
https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/changing-permissions-on-a-board/
As described above..
If it’s accidentally set to Disabled, nobody can post comments, even admins, until it’s changed.
I am thinking also about exceeding Free tier 10 user limits..

(...) - if the Workspace has more collaborators then the boards in this workspace will become view-only.
If you already tried that - please let me know we would continue to troubleshoot!

Yes, comments permissions are set on Members, and I am an admin. There are not more than 10 users. Still stuck. "There was an error adding your comment. Try again" is the error I get any time I try to comment on any card on this board.

Ok, @Jordan Heater in that case could you confirm that there are no specific PowerUps used?
What we can try here.. maybe cloning the problematic board could give a clue.. or temporary giving same permission as you have to other user? Unless of course there is other admin already that can check if he can comment?

It appears that the only PowerUp enabled is Calendar Power-Up. It will not let me disable that power-up when I try.
I copied the board, and I can post comments on the new board. However, I lose all my previous comments, so that is not a great option for me as I have a lot of valuable information stored in comments.
I noticed that on my PHONE (different device, not my windows computer) I can indeed post comments on this board. I assume the only other Member on this board (my wife) can also post comments, though I haven't asked her to test it.

Ok, so please let her do a test (especially if you are on the same network etc.) and maybe it is good to try temporary switch your permission to your wife and bring it back - maybe this would somehow reset the current situation.. maybe it is a glitch.. especially if you are able to comment on a copy of the board and it is working on your phone..

I also just tried logging in on a Mac (both on Firefox and the app) and it still would not let me post comments on my board from that device even.
I tried moving myself from Admin to Member and that didn't fix it either.

I just upgraded my account in an attempt to create a support ticket, but I cannot seem to find a place to create a ticket. It just sends me back to Community & FAQ sections and says I need to upgrade to get 1-to-1 support.

My wife was able to make comments, but I cannot see the comments, strangely enough.

Ok @Jordan Heater it is for sure getting strange.. But no worries, we would figure this out!
I have flagged this thread to support - hopefully someone would see it, use all the information that we gathered so far and provide some input.

@Mirek Thank you for your efforts here! Super appreciate you!
@Jordan Heater We've created a support ticket on your behalf, the ticket number is TRELLO-223799. You should get an email with a link to access the support ticket, and we'll continue working on this from there!
Many thanks!

No problem. Thank you for jumping in @Blair at Atlassian
I hope you can figure out what is going on on the backed and of course share it here after just for reference (since I am also curious what it might be the root cause)

Hello! I have the exact same issue since yesterday. At work we have three boards with less than 10 members and 2 admins. On main board none of us can add comments. We can edit cards' descriptions etc. but cannot comment. Nothing is working. I can add comment in Android app but it doesn't sync with browser app.
I'd appreciate any help.

Oh.. that is not good @Basia Milanowska that you are also seeing issues with commenting.. Did you have a chance to go through all the steps that we did with @Jordan Heater ? I mean checking board permissions etc.

@Mirek Thanks for quick response! Yes, I've checked - all members have commenting permissions. The weird thing is that on two other boards we have there's no such issue. But they are not used as often as the main one where we have a lot of data - maybe there's some limit?
We use standard free version of Trello.
I can see one other member reporting the same issue here: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Trello-questions/Adding-comments-to-card/qaq-p/3179723.

Hi from Trello Support! We're currently investigating an issue where mobile (iOS and Android) users are being logged out and, upon log-in, some previously saved changes are not being restored. We are actively investigating this and fixing it.
@Basia Milanowska Can you please share the board URL where you're noticing this? Also, can you confirm if commenting and viewing saved changes are working normally from the web browser and desktop app?

Hi, thank you for response!
I have issue with Trello in browser version (Chrome, Firefox, Edge). I can add comment in Android app but it doesn't sync. Commenting on desktop Windows app doesn't work either.
Following your suggestion from the other post, I updated Chrome and opened console. Errors show up the moment I open Trello in a tab. I'm attaching screens (sorry, don't know how else to copy these). It looks like some server issue?
And again - the problem is with just one out of three boards. We can comment on the other two.
