I cannot add comments on my board while all comment permissions are allowed, how do I fix it ?

Hi there, 

 

I have all permissions allowed for the comments on my board (I am admin), yet I cannot add comments on my cards. I have the following message appearing "a problem has occured while adding a comment. Try again". 

I tried numerous times again and still cannot comment on my card.

I am also having the same issue. No members of my team are able to make comments. Have tried on the mac app, using multiple web browsers, and from the trello iphone app. This has been an issue for nearly a week now.

Hi @Lisa FLACHY ,

Welcome to the community !!

I would suggest to perform below steps and check if issue still exists.

  1. Workaround 1
    • Logout from Trello
    • Close all browser windows and open a new incognito window or try totally a different browser (chrome/Edge/Firefox etc)
    • Re-Login and try adding comments
  2. If still issue exists, disable all the add-ons in your browser and retry.
  3. Try accessing trello from different laptop/network. 

If the issue is only for you, then it could be related to your browser or laptop. Usuaully a restart will solve it.
If issue is faced by all users, then it could be related to the site and you need to contact the support in https://support.atlassian.com/contact/?postauth=true#/

Hi Ahmed, 

Thank you for the response.

I don't use trello on my browser, but on the microsoft app. Therefore I don't think it is related to my browser or related add-ons in any way. 

Though, I did try to log off and re-log (unsuccessful) and reboot the computer, the problem still persists.

Hi @Lisa FLACHY ,

I see Microsoft has released new version 20-Jan. and it states "Fixed an issue causing crashes for some users". Could you uninstall app from your system and reinstall the latest version.

Also try accessing from web (https://trello.com/) and check if the issue exist in browser also. This might require you to try after uninstalling the app or in incognito window.
