@Victor Dronov It would be great if you can also answer the lagging that new design introduced. Right now the app is extremely dificult to use. Please revert the changes or take care of the issue (which I believe will be hard to do when keeping the new design), but at least acknowledge it.

@Victor Dronov
"I know this tip is not a universal fit for everyone, but I'll share anyways: hit `b` keyboard shortcut, start typing first letter of a board name, hit `enter`."

Can the team PLEASE stop telling us this. It is being repeated at nauseum. It is NOT a better alternative. It is a worse way to find the boards you are after, and has MUCH more friction than just clicking the board name on the left of the screen.

"We are taking a lot of notes from feedback shared in Community (and 10x more of that shared through in-app feedback forms) to improve the new Board Switcher, and make it easier to switch between boards. Even if it's not a left navigation bar open at all times."

I get the feeling that the majority of feedback has told you that the new Switcher/Navigation is not a bettter system and the Trello team is realising what a major problem they have on their hands. That the new switcher has put the cart before the horse.

@Damian Terebun I apologize for the slowness you may be experiencing, and it is indeed temporary. I acknowledge your report and we are actively working on pinpointing and addressing performance complaints we've been receiving lately.

Going to repost my main topic items since previous comments have gone ignored by the Atlassian Team users

1) The new UI is not inclusive to your neurodivergent users. This isn't the first time I've pointed out that an 'upgrade' to Trello is detrimental to a portion of your user-population. Makes me think that the company itself simply doesn't care. Neurodiversity aside, it's simply poor customer service to not allow users to pick how they would like the UI to display via Accessibility options.

2) You're not explaining how pushing us to a different system (Jira) rather than providing switch-options in Trello is user/client-friendly.

Our organization has become an optimized machine utilizing Trello since 2020. In those five years, we have completely realigned our daily activities around the view and functionality. Today, that has been upturned. We are unimpressed with loss of the left pinned menu, in exchange for an inbox and cumbersome navigation. Further unimpressed with 'use Jira instead' recommendation.

Atlassian: Please confirm how to Opt Out of the new layout for those who are not interested in the new layout or learning a new platform/power-up. We are coming into the height of our busy season and this has greatly disrupted our workflow.

Fantastic so where all the feedback about the sidebar went? Who thought this redesign was a good idea?

Yet again, thank you Atlassian for forcing on your customers an unwanted, much worse uppgrade, like the little dictatorial company you are.
It's unacceptable to not have an option available to revert to the old UI.
I will not repeat what EVERYONE is saying in the comments (I didn't hear on single positive feeback), but I can back up the anguish this creates for company and personal uses. Not only workflows are being disturbed, but for some, entire systems that we rely on since litterally years of perfecting them on this app. As a neuro-divergeant individual, I depend on these systems to function.
What is the next uppdate going to be? Is you goal to actually leave your customers with no other choices than to migrate to a new app who actually listen to feedback? I hope you realise nobody making this choice will ever trust Atlassian products again?

Is there anyway of restoring / adding  the option of using automation buttons ( previously on the right side of card) on this new format of Trello card? Thanks

how do you get the sidebar back? this is an awful design that is making it harder for our team to collaborate across all of our boards.

Hello @Jack Turner and @Aaron Hines
Users can't revert the changes in the new interface.
Only Atlassian could do that, and that's far from their plans at the moment. They've taken a big gamble, and we'll see how it turns out.

For my part, I'm preparing an interface design proposal that I'll share here soon.

Best regards.

Is it possible to continue using the classic mode?  This new version is very unsettling.  It's overly compact and a step backward imo.

What happened to the Boards sidebar?  How can I hide the floating icons?

Meanwhile people have been waiting EIGHT years to be able to disable keyboard shortcuts

https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Trello-questions/Is-it-possible-to-modify-or-disable-keyboard-shortcuts/qaq-p/589535#M115648

This is the latest in a series of terribly received UX regressions.  What is going on?

I just got this update and it's made Trello inaccessible on desktop (the new layout is difficult to navigate and important information gets cut off when opening cards). Is it possible to switch back to the old layout, at least until these bugs are addressed?

Im not happy with the buttons not being immediately visible on the card but instead are two clicks a way. I created custom buttons for productivity and need them on the card.

@Victor Dronov  - Please help The Community understand:

"We are changing Trello to become an entirely different product, and hopefully one day you can enjoy it in this new - individual productivity and to-do management - capacity. "

I think The Community would love to hear:

Why you are changing Trello to "an entirely different product" - rather than CREATING an entirely different product for individual productivity and to-do management? I doubt Microsoft would take Outlook and say 'Great news users! Outlook is now for Finance! Have fun!'

"most of the changes mentioned here as unwelcome are helpful in context of working with a large team across multiple boards"

Atlassian has disregarded the smaller customer to satisfy Enterprise (greater than 50 users) customers, and that's very hard to swallow.

I think @Victor Dronov has abandoned the thread. I've got posts from May 22nd, 28th, and June 3rd that have gone unanswered and I'd be shocked if they receive any reply of substance. The general consensus is that Atlassian is not a company that practices inclusion and we're all extremely disappointed in the lack of basic personal customization and UI options. You know it's bad when they want to change a platform to something completely different (read: they don't care about disappointing a user-base and disrupting workflow).

I was first introduced to Trello in my current position and it's been such a huge benefit to help manage my work alongside my ADHD. It's why I'm passionate (and passionately upset) about the upcoming updates because, as I've said twice before now, it will no longer be that helpful visual one-click-to-navigate tool. Shame on Atlassian for making ALL our lives more difficult.

@Sarah Ecklund

Agreed, on the dismissal of the smaller teams using Trello. Reading through their "which is the best fit" article for Jira and Trello, Trello is clearly the better fit for our small team of 3, that utilizes more than a dozen boards, daily, and functions in more of a waterfall than agile process. Never mind the prospect of eliminating unnecessary cards/lists, as recommended by Jira to move from one to the other. We are currently in the height of our busy season. Realigning our project management application at the current time is Not Feasible.

I, too, was introduced to Trello 5 years ago, in my current position. The transition to Trello was a tremendous undertaking for our small team, but we have honed it to a system that just a few people can manage with ease - especially for the neurodivergent like me!

It's most shocking that this is an evolution to an entirely different product. I do not understand that.

Did the sizing on the cards recently change? I'm finding it either too big or too small now when I try to readjust it. It's hard to read either way - the medium size before was much easier. Is there a reason to be making all these changes? They seem unnecessary!

@Brynn Harrington it seems completely random and it's happening to my entire team. The text is fine for a while and then suddenly it's huge, sometimes refreshing will help, sometimes not.. It's ridiculous. I have to keep changing my browser's zoom to adjust.

@Sarah Ecklund can you please share a screenshot showing "the text is fine for a while and then suddenly it's huge, sometimes refreshing will help, sometimes not"? Either in this thread, or you can start a new dedicated thread in community and tag me. Thank you in advance!

Did we just lose the "Move" button. I use Move to move cards to a different list and/or board all the time. But now you have to go to ... That's changed, right? It's odd because there still seems to be enough space for a Move button in the UI.

Also, one ongoing UX frustration is that you can't move a card to a New list.
Every other collection/playlist/album UI includes "New XXX" as one of the options. It's a weird omission that there is no way to directly create a new list when moving a ticket in Trello...
