Hello,

I am evaluating to get started with Atlassian status page. I am looking for a public page. I have following queries

1. Wanted to clarify what are subscribers as that is varying across different plans.
2. While I want a public page, can that be combined with audience specific email notifications?

Thanks

Hey Sanchit,

Thanks for considering Atlassian Statuspage! I'd be happy to answer your questions:

  1. Subscribers:

    • Subscribers are individuals who sign up to receive notifications about the status of your services. They get updates via email, SMS, or webhook when incidents, maintenance, or other changes are posted on your status page.
    • The number of subscribers varies across different plans. For example, higher-tier plans typically allow for a larger number of subscribers, while lower-tier plans have a limit on how many subscribers you can have. This means the plan you choose should align with the scale of notifications you expect to send.
  2. Public Page with Audience-Specific Notifications:

    • Yes, even with a public status page, you can have audience-specific notifications. While your page will be visible to everyone, you can configure your notifications so that only subscribers for certain components receive updates. This way, you can ensure that the right groups are informed based on their interests, without making it overly broad for all users.

It's possible to do that via component subscriptions, please see - https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/enable-component-subscriptions/

Best Regards,
Egor
