After reviewing the documentation for the GitLab connector, I'm disappointed with its functionality. It appears to only index metadata. At a minimum, it should also index README.md files, but ideally, it would index all repository content.

@flaimo I’d recommend submitting a feature request to expand indexing to README files and full repo content. That would make the connector far more useful for real development workflows. https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/BrowseProjects.jspa
