Roadmap Inquiry: Rovo Integration with Atlassian Data Center

Hello, we are a company in the banking sector with a Jira and Confluence account with 2000 users, we cannot switch to the cloud environment due to banking regulations in our country, and that is why we are currently using Atlassian products in data center. We want to use Rovo but it is only for cloud environment for now. I was wondering can you suggest us a solution that we can follow as a road map for enterprise customers in data center so that we could use Rovo ?

Hi @firdevs cansu ! As far as I know, you can create a cloud site and connect your server/data center system to the cloud site Rovo as a source of knowledge base

A rising star with a bright answer, thanks @Oleksii Melnyk  I agree, your best option is a hybrid strategy. Which means you keep your data center environment and have a cloud environment so you can leverage Rovo.  @firdevs cansu your organization might be a great candidate for an exclusive beta @Ali BenCafu from Atlassian and I have been brainstorming. Thanks for your answer, As I mentioned before we do not want to use Cloud  in any circumstances because of the banking regulation. Is there any other methods you can suggest other than the connection to the cloud environment from our data center system, so that we can use Rovo. @firdevs cansu thank you for the clarification, in my paradigm a hybrid model isn't switching but adding the cloud. But I understand where you're coming from and its a growing concern for enterprise. Currently the AI industry, both the technology and staffing talent, isn't mature enough to support data center and on-prem AI.

LLMs have high processing demands and require constant updates, and secure model hosting—difficult and costly to maintain in isolated, on-prem environments like Data Center. There are no known plans to bring Rovo to Data Center or on-prem.

Atlassian Data Center customers can now tap into the capabilities of Rovo with our Data Center connectors. Rovo is included for customers with active Premium or Enterprise cloud plans of Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, or Teamwork Collection. 

So once a customer has a cloud entitlement, they can setup the Rovo Connector for Confluence Data Center. Read more about the benefits here and the setup process here. Customers can still retain their Data Center footprint to use the Rovo, they just need an active Premium or Enterprise cloud plan mentioned above.
