I am having trouble editing the columns on my Jira board. Specifically, I am trying to [move a column], but there is a problem to save my changes.

Here are my details:

  • Project Name: Moneto

  • Board Type: Scrum

  • My Permissions: I am an Admin

Could you please check if this is a permission issue or if there is a configuration setting I am missing?

Hi Shivangi,

Based on the screenshot you shared, the actual issue is not very clear. As per my current understanding of your concern, I’d like to share a few validation steps (Jira Cloud) for you to review:

  1. Verify Board Permissions
    • Only users with Board Administrator permission can modify board columns.
    • Go to Board → … (More) → Board settings
    • If access is restricted, request Administer board permission.
  2. Check Status Mapping
    • Ensure that each workflow status is mapped to only one column.
    • Verify that there are no unmapped statuses.
  3. Validate Board Filter
    • Ensure the board filter includes all issue types and statuses used in the workflow.
    • Navigate to Board settings → General → Filter.

Please review the above steps and let us know your findings.
