Hi Community,

When I receive alerts when nobody is on-call I want to receive notifications as soon as the next engineer is on-call.

This can end up with a lot of notifications in the following example (but we are aware of this):

- Alert received at 01:00

- Schedule and escalation is active from 23:00 - 07:00 with no on-call engineer

- At 07:00 an engineer is starting according to the on-call schedule

- I want to have that engineer starting at 07:00 to receive all (past) alerts from 23:00-07:00

Is this possible? Or are there reasons to not want this?

Hi @Ronald Heijn Buys

This is Tejaswi from the Opsgenie support team and here to help. :)

If you have a fixed scheduled where non of the users will be on-call, then you can use a notification policy to delay alert notification for the alert create during this time frame.

You can refer to the documentation here for more details on the notification policies for the team.

Kind Regards,
Tejaswi
