We POC'd Opsgenie in a separate instance and activated it's usage there.
We are on our 2nd year of Opsgenie usage and we'd like to leverage JIra integration. It seems the integration requires Jira and Opsgenie to co-exist in the same instance. Is it possible to migrate our Opsgenie to our Confluence and Jira instance?
Hi @Donny Gison ,
Unfortunately it's not possible at this time to migrate Opsgenie into another Atlassian instance at this time, but he have an open feature request for this you can watch, follow and vote for here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/OPSGENIE-24
So you will not be able to use the new Jira cloud integration. Having said that, you can use the Jira legacy integration to connect with any site as long as you have permission (email / API key): https://support.atlassian.com/opsgenie/docs/integrate-opsgenie-with-jira/
It's pretty straight forward to configure. All you need to do on the Jira side is configure a webhook that triggers the Opsgenie-Jira integration. You can specify which projects, issues, etc. create alerts as will in the webhook's JQL. It might look something like this:
If you want Opsgenie alerts creating Jira issues, or want actions taken on the Opsgenie alert to reflect on the Jira issue, this article should help with configuring the that as well:
