workaround that supports functionality of soon to be discontinued "projects" widget?

looking for a way to group "My projects"  [of the hundreds available to me] in a dashboard setting - showing pertinent/ time sensitive data with drill down  into jira board capabilities

did u try to use "Spaces" gadget (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/use-dashboard-gadgets/) ?

Although not identical, the Spaces gadget can display information and filters related to a Jira “space” (which is the Cloud term replacing traditional project semantics).
