what's is best thing to do with completed issues in Jira?

Adam Parker May 11, 2020

I have several columns and one is "Done" but it now has 130+ completed issues and it's slowing the page down. What's the best thing to do with these completed issues?

Depends on the type of board, but the default behaviour of all of them will drop done issues at some point.  Scrum boards do it when you end the sprint, Kanban when you use "release".  The other boards don't display issues that have not been updated for over 2 weeks.

not sure what Board I'm using but where might these settings be?

Can you share an image of your board? With could there are various options. I’m guessing you are using a Classic Kanban but not releasing and you don’t have a sub-filter defined to age Done issues off. If I am correct you would want to click on the ellipses and select board settings. Then choose General and at the bottom there is sub-filter. You can update the filter to hide issues in Done status for say 14d or whatever period you wish.

In the ellipses I only see "Manage Rules" and "Hide cover images"
