Hello,
how can I share a specific page in confluence (read only) with all users without them having to log in?
- Like an intern wiki/FAQ/... page in Confluence.
Thank you for the help
Best regards
Giuseppe
Hello,
Confluence has a top-down permission approach, so the top-level where a page is located needs to be assessable for the child pages to be visible as well, So if the Parent page is only accessible by a subset of users, the child pages will only be accessible by the same users as it inherits those permissions from the parent pages permissions.
What you will want to look at for non-loged in user access to content is Anonymous Access, covered here:
As noted in the KB there are three levels of access:
Anonymous access to content is controlled at 3 different levels:
Site – At the site level (in global permissions), the Confluence admin or site admin decides whether to grant anonymous users any access to the site.
Space – If anonymous access is allowed at the site level, it’s then up to the space admins to decide whether they want to grant anonymous users any access to their space. If space access is granted, then anonymous users will have access to all pages in the space, unless restricted on the pages themselves.
Page – Anonymous users are restricted from viewing a page when a page’s access setting is Only specific people can view or edit, or when one of its parent pages has been set so that only specific people can access. This means that view restriction inherits down to all of its nested pages.
The basic rundown is if you want certain pages to be visible but not others, place them in a Publically accessible space and lock down the other spaces that you do not want to be public, OR Set the pages at the top level and set anonymous access while locking down any of the other subpages in the space you do not want publically viewable.
Hope this helps get you on the right track.

Earl

Hello Earl,
thank you very much for the answer.
We have also implemented it successfully. Unfortunately, it was not quite that what we wanted to achieve.
That's what we want to do:
The information is stored in Confluence, and we have linked this information in "Jira Service Management" in the knowledge base. We wanted to share this information with the customers via the helpcenter using the shareable links. On this page, the customer has to register or log in to see the information. We want to switch off this registration.
If this could be helpful, I can also post such a shareable link here?
Thank you for the help
Best regards
Giuseppe

Hi @Giuseppe Pagano ,
Ok, thanks for the clarification, and there is currently a feature request for exactly this functionality located at the following link that details the current state of this functionality and alternative approaches:
Noting the most recent update:
Response 15 March 2017Hi all,
Thanks for your responses.
We understand that this is a significant change for some of you. As part of making authentication and single sign-on easier across Atlassian products we have consolidated product access through Atlassian account (https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/atlassian-account-for-users-873871199.html). This means that access to our products outside the customer portal requires an Atlassian account.
Customers can still search for KB articles, view articles, bookmark articles and so on using the customer portal. This does not require an Atlassian account as it's done through the customer portal.
If you need your customers to directly access Confluence to browse through KB articles, you can either:
- Make your space anonymous-accessible. This will mean that anyone will be able to browse your KB articles without needing to log in. If you are experiencing issues as described in CONF-30161 then please make sure you have linked your space to a JIRA Service Desk project via Project Settings → Knowledge Base as this fixes the problem.
- If you do not want to make your space anonymous accessible, ie. you want customers to explicitly log in before they can see Confluence, then you must convert your customer user accounts to Atlassian accounts. You can convert them yourself using the instructions on https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/select-the-right-account-for-your-jira-service-desk-customers-873871210.html or you can file a support ticket and our support can bulk migrate your customer accounts to Atlassian accounts. Having an Atlassian account does not consume a license.

Hope this helps clarify things and get you on the right track.

Earl
