upgrade JIRA 8.1 to 8.13 with Oracle upgrade

Can I upgrade my current JIRA 8.1 (using its supported DB Oracle 12c R1) to JIRA 8.13, and then worry about the Oracle upgrade afterwards?

Or, should I put the current JIRA 8.1 onto (not supported) Oracle 12c R2 first and then upgrade it to 8.13?

Which way is best please?

The safest way is to upgrade Jira to 8.5 which supports both R1 and R2. Then upgrade Oracle to 18-19 and finally upgrade Jira to 8.13
