tips for project structure with multiple versions in repos

Hi, 

what are some guidelines when considering creating a single/multiple projects with multiple repos? for example, a product with micro-services architecture where each can be released on its own, but serve the same product. would you unify under a single project and a version? or multiple versions? or add a microservice version in related tickets?

 

any thoughts, tips and considerations would be welcomed!
