Hi Abilash,

1. Hide "More Fields" after ticket creation:
Go to Project Settings → Issue Layout and move unwanted fields to the Hidden section.

2. Remove red required indicator:
Go to Settings → Issues → Field Configurations, find the relevant field, and uncheck Required. For JSM forms, toggle off "Required" in the Form Designer.

Note: Required fields can't be fully hidden — Jira needs them filled in during creation.

Hello @Abilash

"Hidden when empty" just bumps the field into the "More fields" dropdown. To get rid of it completely on the issue view, you must drag it down to the actual "Hidden fields" section in your issue layout settings.

The red error are another story and it means a Form or field validation rule requires at least 3 choices. You can't hide a field that's actively breaking a validation check, Jira has to show somehow what's blocking the save😉 You'll need to either lower that minimum requirement or make the field/question optional.

Cheers,

Arek 🤠
