text searching - server vs cloud differences

text searching seems to have some differences between server and cloud

specifically this proximity search 

text ~ "\"like a\"~0"

on the server returns an exact match where 'like' and 'a' are adjacent

on the cloud this returns items with text between the words.

Is this a known issue.

@Tom Lister, based on the facts at hand (not in the documentation and doesn’t work when trying it) it is clear Proximity is not supported in Cloud. I checked Jira.atlassian.com for suggestions but did not find one. You might wish to open a suggestion.
