showing tasks "relates to" a story on a jira board

Hello,

Our team uses tasks (NOT sub-tasks) and relates them to a Story.

I'm looking for a way to show the relationship between a Story and its tasks on the Scrum board.

Any idea?

There is very little available natively to meet your requirement.

If you have used generic issue linking to establish the relationship between the Story and the Tasks, then you can customize the Card Layout to show the Linked Issues field. That will add the issue keys for all the linked issues to the card display. No other details will show for those linked issues (within the card displaying the linked issue keys), and which linked issues are displayed is not configurable.

You might be able to so something with Swimlanes based on Queries, where you create a query for each story that will collect its related tasks, but then you would need to constantly update your swimlane queries.

There might be a third party app that would give you another way to view the board. I have not researched this particular scenario so I don't have any specific recommendations.
