Hello everyone,
I am a new adventurer in Jira, I am navigating with the automation and the rules, but I have not yet been able to fully familiarize myself with the application, I do not know if it is possible for you to help me or advise me, regarding my completion board, I want to add a rule that when a ticket is finalized it is automatically deleted or closed after 24 hours. Thank you all very much, I hope you can help me. Greetings
Hello @Jesus Salazar
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
What type of project are you working with? You can find that information in the Type column on the View all projects page under the Projects menu.
What type of Board are you working with? For Software projects you may be using a Scrum board that includes Sprints or a Kanban board that doesn't include sprints.
When you say the issue is "finalized", how is that represented in the issue? Is that changing the issue Status to a particular value?
When you say you want the ticket "closed", how is that represented in the issue and how is that different from "finalized"? Is "closed" another Status value?
Deleting issues is never a good idea. You lose all access to the information about that issue and the information cannot be recovered. It is permanently gone.
Depending on the type of project and board you are using, issues may be automatically hidden from the board view after a certain period of time when they have been changed to their "closed" status. If you are using a board type where that option is not configurable, it may be possible to change the board filter, or add a Quick Filter to the board to hide those issues. Note that while the issues may not be visible on the board, they still exist in the project and can be found through the various issue search features.
