when I dividing my weekly tasks into Jira, the hours don't seem correct to me. (see picture)When I count the hours from the tasks they don't match with the estimate or the remaining ones.
I checked already the setting, its all correct but the remaining time showes up not correctly.
It would be nice to have a view where I know how many hours have already been scheduled and how many I have to add to get 40 hours a week.
when I enter hours during the weekly sprint, it always shows me the total estimate of hours per task. > is there a solution so that after entering hours I can see how many are actually still available to me (and not the total number)?
Many thanks in advance
Hello Sandra,
Welcome to Atlassian community.
By default, the Remaining estimate field (verbleibende zeit geschätzt) is automatically configured with the same value as the Original Estimate when you set it and then updated based on the work logged in the issue.
The scenario above doesn't match only when you manually set a different value to the Remaining estimate field (Different from the Original Estimate), so the estimate does not calculate based in the original estimate and cause the difference you are currently seen.
My recommendation would be to navigate to the issues you are facing this incoherent behavior and delete the time that were manually configured in the remaining estimate field, leaving it blank. Once you perform it, it will be automatically configured with the same value as the Original Estimate and the time tracking will reflect the exact scenario you are expecting:
Remaining estimate = Original estimate - work logged.
