so i have 2 projects - they were set up only using the Relates to Linked issues (work items) field - both are story level issues
Proj 1 is the "Parent" Proj 2 the "child"
i have a field called "control rating" in Proj 2 that shows yes or no -
i want to be able to quick view in proj 1 if the "child" projects either show yes or no -
my conclusion has been to make a field in Proj 1 that is a Paragraph field called related control summary - whenever an issue is linked then the rating gets filled in using lookup item - buut im having trouble getting it to work i have the below as a rough copy would love some feedback
Hello @Max_Clark
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
From which project is the link being created? Is it always created from the Project item or always from the Project 2 item, or could it be from either?
What do you expect this rule to do? What is it actually doing?
Can you provide a screen images of the output in the rule execution log entry? Make sure to click all the ">" characters to ensure all the details are revealed
Hi @Max_Clark
Yes, and...to the suggestions from @Trudy Claspill --
What is the scope of your rule in the details at the top: single-project, multiple-project, or global? A single-project scope rule cannot "see" the work items in other projects.
And, what problem are you trying to solve with this rule? That is, "why do this?" Knowing that will help the community offer better suggestions. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Bill
