Hello everyone,
My team is heavily using Jira for sprint tracking, but my stakeholders find the native Jira dashboards a bit too technical. They want a high-level 'Executive Summary' in a classic spreadsheet format.
I’ve been trying to map my Jira fields to the status report templates at on www.projectmanagertemplate.com
Does anyone have a recommended 'Jira to Excel' automation or a specific Confluence macro that can replicate a clean, boardroom-ready status report? I'd love to stop manually copy-pasting data into my templates on a daily basis
Thanks
Hi @Brian McKee
Totally understand the pain of manually pulling Jira data into spreadsheet templates - it's tedious and error-prone, especially daily.
Rather than building a fragile "Jira-to-Excel" pipeline, generate those stakeholder-ready visuals directly in Jira. Agile Reports and Gadgets is a bundle of six apps that lets you build clean, high-level dashboards your executives can actually read - covering velocity, burnup/burndown, throughput, cycle time, cumulative flow, and Monte Carlo forecasting.
You can save any chart as a gadget on a Jira dashboard, embed it in Confluence pages for broader visibility, and when you do need that spreadsheet format, export the underlying data to CSV, PNG, or PDF in one click - no copy-pasting required.
Each chart updates in real time as Jira changes, so stakeholders always see the current status without anyone having to manually refresh a template. You can also drill into any sprint interval to inspect completed work, scope changes, and issue-level details - then let executives view just the summary layer.
The bundle is free forever for teams of up to 10 users.

Hope that helps you ditch the daily copy-paste routine! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about setting it up.
Thankyou Iryna for your reply, this bundle looks promising and will save a lot of time

Hi @Brian McKee,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
I don’t see many options with the out-of-the-box Confluence macros, aside from the Two-Dimensional Filter Statistics, Issue Statistics, or Filter Results macros.
If you are open to using a plugin from Atlassian Marketplace, our app Great Gadgets for Confluence offers some useful macros for your need. I will mention these two as an example:
The app offers many other useful macros for Scrum and project management in general, and it could be an ideal solution for creating your boardroom status reports.
