receiving HTML emails into JIRA

Hi 

i am sending 'comments' to reporters via JIRA 

they receive these comments via email in HTML format 

when they reply, some will be received back into the JIRA in HTML format 

but some convert to plain text with the HTML coding (which is super annoying) 

does anyone know why it works for some but not for others?

Hi @Lucy Dobson 

Please check render type for comment field in Fields configuration scheme. It looks like you have different rendering for comment field in some projects.

HI @Sebastian Krzewiński thank you for your reply! i will get this checked but i'm not sure it is the issue, as both examples were from the same project

i am now wondering if its something to do with the email set up of the reporter? could this be the case?

yes, it could be a case how users send messages. To be more precise - in what format.
