"Save Template" and Template picker not displayed - 'Smart Issue Templates for Jira'

Alexander Schöne July 29, 2022

Ive tried to use the "Smart Issue Templates for Jira" App to create a template for bugs. According to the documentation I should see a "Save Template" button in the "Create" issue form. This is not present.

I then created a template from a bug using the "Create Template" form under "App>Smart Issue Templates". But there is no field "Template Picker" or similar in the "Create" issue form either.

Am I doing something wrong here?

I am trying this in a test project that I have setup to mimick our real life project. Its Jira cloud company managed project.

Hi Alexander - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Can you share a link to the documentation?

Oh, this is a template for confluence and not Jira. Sorry that’s not my area.

What do you mean, it is a plugin for confluence? the name of it states "Smart Issue templates for Jira"?

Sorry about that, I misread it. This is an app from the marketplace, so you will need to contact the vendor directly for their support.
