Why the resize option has been moved behind two extra mouse clicks?
Until now, when the user clicked on an uploaded image the current size was shown in a popup window and made it fairly easy to resize. It had a bug already, the user had to press ENTER to confirm the new size, clicking away from the number did not persist the value, closed the popup, and didn't warn the user about the edition being lost.
Now, the image size is gone behind the "..." (one click) and the sub-menu "Resize" (another click) while the bug is still there, clicking away closes the popup without a warning about lost data.
Why?
IMO, this is another one in a long list of changes that made usability worse than it used to be.
Thanks.
Hello @Attila Papp
If you’re looking for that old preset-style resize control, it's pretty much gone. Atlassian has moved toward using resize handles directly on the image itself, and there isn't a setting to bring the old shortcut buttons back.
If you're still seeing the image toolbar but the quick options are missing, that's likely just the current state of the UI. However, if you aren’t seeing any resize handles at all, it’s worth checking in a private browser window to make sure a cache issue or extension isn't breaking the editor.
Just a heads-up that since this is the Community, no one here can actually roll back the update or restore the old controls. If the handles are missing for you across the board, you should definitely raise a ticket with Atlassian Support to see if it's a specific bug with your instance.
